Chera Hammons

Panhandle

Chera Hammons is a recipient of awards through PEN Texas and the Texas Institute of Letters. She holds an MFA from Goddard College. Her poetry appears in such journals as Pleiades, Poetry, Rattle, The Southern Review, The Sun, and the Texas Observer, and has been featured on The Slowdown. Her most recent collection Maps of Injury (2020) is available through Sundress Publications. A new collection, Salvage List, is forthcoming in June 2025 from Belle Point Press. She lives in Amarillo, Texas.
